Nepherterra Estrada Partner | Director of Public Relations

PR Pro. News Junkie. Blackberry Addict. That’s Nepherterra in a nutshell. When she’s not doing PR you'll find her on a plane traveling somewhere fabulous. Some people call her MissPR, but friends call her Neph (pronounced Nef).

Neph is an award-winning, innovative communications executive with nearly a decade of experience in public relations and journalism. She is a former journalist who has successfully managed a number of high-profile public relations campaigns in the, retail, real estate, government and non-profit arenas.

She has secured thousands of media hits in national, regional and local media outlets. She has received awards for her work from the American Marketing Association and Women in Communications.

A graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, Neph interned for Pride Magazine when she was a student at JCSU. After graduation, she moved back to her hometown Milwaukee, and co-founded Mosaic Communications, a successful public relations agency.



Dee

Dee Dixon | CEO of Pride Communications

Dee Dixon is a seasoned advertising professional and a successful entrepreneur. As the President and CEO of Pride Communications, Dixon has built Pride Magazine into an important voice for the Charlotte community. In addition, she recently launched Pride Public Relations with Nepherterra Estrada. Dixon has been the visionary behind several of Charlotte’s major events including The Pride Sunset Jazz Series, Pride Awards Gala and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Health Symposium.

Dixon was named Charlotte Business Woman of the Year in 2006. She has previously served on the board of directors of the Mint Museums and currently serves the boards of the Charlotte Chamber and the Charlotte Regional Visitors Association. In 2003, she received the Goody’s Powder Community Leader of the Year Award for her role in helping make the Charlotte community a better place. She is co-founder of What Women of Color Want and Women’s Inter-Cultural Exchange (WIE).



Johnna Scott | Senior Vice President

Johnna Scott is a seasoned public relations professional with more than a decade of experience in public relations and a track record for getting results. She has vast experience in media relations, media buying, and grassroots marketing. Scott has developed results-oriented public relations initiatives that consistently meet or exceed clients’ goals. Scott has worked with clients and media in both local and regional markets. A graduate of Alverno College, she is a founding member of the Black Public Relations Society of Milwaukee, New Concept Self Development Center board member and member of the National Association of 100 Black Women.
